#BoostMyBio 2018: Ben Sonnek

Hello everyone (yes, both of you)! Ben Sonnek here: thanks for visiting my less-than-humble blog!

(No, that's not a picture of me up there--that's Agent Decker from the computer game Invisible Inc.--I like the game and the agent's fashion sense, though, so I'm borrowing it here)

Who am I really? Dodging the more philosophical answers to that question, I am a YA/Sci-fi writer hailing from the American Midwest. To date, I've had the good fortune of my short stories being published in venues such as Daily Science Fiction, Aphelion, Perihelion, Edify Fiction, and the first edition of Sonder Midwest, plus a novella recently accepted by Silver Blade. When not reading, writing, or exploring my PC in both its functional and recreational capacities, I run, practice TaeKwonDo (2nd degree black belt here), swim, play piano, try graphic design, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember off the top of my head.

Feel free to poke around while you're here; there's an About The Author page if you'd like to know more about me than you ever wanted to know. There's a  Published Works page if you want proof that, yes, I wasn't lying about those short stories. Heck, if you just like reading cartoons, I still have a link to my Comic Blog that I maintained throughout college. And of course there are my bi-monthly posts on my main page and the archives.

Finally, there's my MS project. Here's something that I threw together that I think will help you get a feel for the work--maybe more so than you'd like. (Sorry about the way it's wedged in this blog, but I found it to be most readable this way.)

Thanks again for visiting, and enjoy!
